Stage 1 – Tamarron Drought Contingency Plan

Continued drought conditions in our area have caused the need for Fort Bend County MUD 182 to institute Stage 1 of its Drought Contingency Plan.

The following steps are voluntary at this time.

Please limit landscaped areas irrigation from automatic sprinkler systems or hose end sprinklers to the following days only:

  • Addresses ending in even numbers (0, 2, 4, 6 or 8) – Sundays and Thursdays only
  • Addresses ending in odd numbers (1, 3, 5, 7 or 9) – Saturdays and Wednesdays only

    Please only irrigate between 12:00 midnight until 10:00 a.m. and between 8:00 p.m. and 12:00 midnight on designated watering days.Landscaped areas can be watered anytime using a handheld hose, a faucet filled bucket or a watering can of 5 gallons or less.

Residents are requested to practice water conservation and minimize or discontinue water use for non-essential purposes.

Your voluntary adherence to these Stage 1 steps is appreciated.

Handy Tips to Avoid Frozen Pipes This Winter

Freezing temperatures and strong winds are expected to impact the area beginning Thursday. Taking precautionary measures to avoid frozen pipes is very important.

Sign Up for the District’s Alert System

The District has implemented an email and text alert system for the residents of Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 182. This system is designed to keep you informed of issues related to the District in a quick and timely manner. You may receive messages in either email or text alert format, or both, related to the water service in the District, drainage and sewer related topics, and other news that is relevant to the District.

The email alerts that you may receive will contain the majority of the relevant information and may occasionally direct you back to the District’s website for more details.

Text message notifications will contain a short amount of information with a link back to the District’s website where the remainder of the information can be viewed.

These notifications are a great way to stay up to date on news and issues within the District and we highly encourage you to sign up and share this information with your neighbors.
